Daphne Art Foundation is thrilled to launch Avant-Garde as Laredo’s most dynamic event of the year! This, our first annual Grand Gala fundraising event, features the versatile repertoire of Ballet de Monterrey, a 30-year-old international dance company from Monterrey, Nuevo León offering classical, neoclassical and contemporary ballet. Ballet de Monterrey will perform selections from Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Carousel, Pa Yo Yo Ma, Transpoint, Corsario, Sonatina, and Inefable.

Proceeds from the Grand Gala provide crucial support for the expansion of Daphne Art Foundation’s programs, professional growth opportunities, events, immersive exhibitions, and community arts projects. 

Daphne Art Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to support and promote the creation, presentation, study, and appreciation of the visual, performing, and media arts in the border community of Laredo, Texas. 

Since 2019, we have been fulfilling our mission through our first initiative, Cultivarte Laredo. With this program, we are cultivating a supportive culture of artists by providing spaces for art programs that stimulate cross-cultural transformations on both sides of the U.S./Mexico border. Today, we are expanding to deliver broader community outreach and other public arts programs, including a community-wide mural arts festival.
